Give your whole heart and energy to the work to which you have been called, then let the Lord touch it and make it grand.

Hi, I'm Abby.

A birth doula, educator, wife, and mother.

My passion is in educating and inspiring women to find their inner voice - a voice that is so uniquely theirs - and how to embrace it with confidence, grace, and love.

I was born and grew up in Northern Virginia, with parents who taught me to live a life built on learning. They gave me the tools to develop my learning, and then inspired me to use my voice to share my knowledge with others. Prior to becoming a birth doula, I worked for a few years in a variety of roles including teaching high school, tutoring, coaching girls soccer, and as an editor.

I married my cute husband (Logan) in 2009, and we welcomed our first bundle of joy in 2011. Ever since then, pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting have become my favorite topics to learn about.

Fast forward a few years later, we moved to North Carolina, welcomed two more babies (born 2013 and 2016), and I started learning how to become a birth doula.

One of my favorite phrases is "being an instrument in the hands of God" and as I have pondered that over and over again - it's led me to right now. I am truly humbled and honored to use my voice, my hands, and my heart to inspire women (and their families) as they bring their babies into the world. I believe every woman deserves a doula, and I welcome the opportunity to facilitate that.

In my spare time, I like learning about other things - new places to travel to, home decor ideas, books on Audible, and how to entertain 3 kids and a husband in Charlotte, NC.
